Administers a highly technical state publications depository library program. The position offers generous travel and training opportunities. Duties: Responsible for applications that provide public access to state publications. Communicates with depository libraries and state agency contacts. Manages special initiatives, e.g. mass scanning projects with digitization contractors. Leads development of Archive Montana partnership with Internet Archive to preserve state agency websites. Leads local adoption of LOCKSS, a Stanford University Libraries program to create a decentralized digital preservation infrastructure. Supervises staff use of CONTENTdm to develop Montana Memory Project. Active in Best Practices Exchange (BPE), a national community of librarians, archivists, records managers and others responsible for managing state government information.
