Duties:
• Responsi ble for applications that provide public access to state publications.
• Communicates with depository libraries and state agency contacts.
• Manages special initiatives, e.g. mass scanning projects with digitization contractors.
• Leads development of Archive Montana partnership with Internet Archive to preserve state agency websites.
• Leads local adoption of LOCKSS, a Stanford University Libraries program to create a decentralized digital preservation infrastructure.
• Supervises staff use of CONTENTdm to develop Montana Memory Project.
• Active in Best Practices Exchange (BPE), a national community of librarians, archivists, records managers, and others responsible for managing state government information. The BPE2008 annual meeting is in Helena, MT, May 21-23, 2008.
