BCR, a multistate library nonprofit network, seeks innovative Digital Initiatives Consultant to join its Aurora, Colorado, team. The Digital Initiatives Consultant will help libraries and cultural heritage institutions keep pace with advances, breakthrough technologies and exciting developments in the field. Individual will teach professionals and paraprofessionals about cutting-edge digitization technologies and advancements. Other duties include the creation and design of training programs, consulting on special projects, and travel for professional activities and events.
REQUIRED:
ALA-accredited MLS, MLIS or equivalent preferred, but will consider Masters qualifications in related disciplines as well. A minimum of one year professional library experience or relevant library-related digitization experience. Strong foundation with trends in library systems and digitization activities, broad working knowledge of metadata schemas, effective communication skills with diverse audiences and skilled at identifying new technologies and applying them to library sciences.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
Teaching/Training experience, especially in library methods and technology. Quick learner and self-motivated. Versatile self-starter who thrives in a changing work environment and can balance multiple responsibilities.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
