Position Summary:
This position will provide technical support and maintenance of the library’s management and digital asset systems.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating projects and upgrades;
- Performance improvements and process automation within a Unix/Linux environment;
- Collaborating with users for analysis of new applications;
- Analyzing support issues;
- Creating standard and ad-hoc reporting;
- Developing/enhancing scripts, including design, testing and documentation.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of two years work experience with relational databases (including SQL) and applications support in a networked environment OR six years of work experience with relational databases (including SQL) and applications support in a networked environment is required. Degree in Computer Science or Information Management is strong preferred.

Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong SQL, scripting, and report writing skills are essential.

Candidates must possess a demonstrated strong technical aptitude. Must be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Must also possess a strong customer service orientation.

Candidates must possess a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and adherence of operating standards and business procedures. Unix or Linux experience highly desired. Experience with ODBC, scripting/reporting in MS Access, SAS, and Perl is desirable. Experience with HTML, PHP, Java, XML, working knowledge of web servers, SSL, and LDAP is a plus. Experience with Voyager Library system desirable.
