Job description:
Ex Libris is seeking a Primo/MetaLib Project Librarian to join the team responsible for helping customers in North America to implement and integrate Primo and MetaLib into their suite of library products. The Primo/MetaLib Project librarian will be responsible for first line customer management, training, and analysis for new Primo/MetaLib customers. Responsibilities
• Perform project management of Primo and MetaLib implementations, primarily in North America
• Coordinate software installations and upgrades, perform initial software configurations, and provide first line support to customers during the implementation cycle
• Advise customers on configuration setup of Primo and MetaLib based on customer needs
• Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues and requests
• Communicate issues and requests to the members of the Primo and MetaLib teams for resolution and possible inclusion in future product releases.
• Perform QA for new software releases and versions.
• Work with colleagues on the Primo and MetaLib teams in Israel to develop Web-based as well as face-to-face instructional programs.
• Train customers in Primo and MetaLib, both onsite as well as via Web-based training offered from the office.
• Review and contribute to documentation packages for customers.
• 10% travel

Requirements
• A keen interest in, and enthusiasm for, developments in Library And Information Science
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently, including initial data analysis, project implementation, and post implementation analysis and support
• Strong interpersonal skills, and both oral and written communication skills
• Experience in data analysis and troubleshooting
• Experience in developing and providing training, both face-to-face instruction and Web-based
• Experience with UNIX and/or Oracle
• Familiarity with meta-data standards and experience working with MARC, Dublin Core and/or other meta-data standards used in the library and information markets
• Bachelor’s degree mandatory; Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science, or equivalent, highly desirable
• 5+ years experience in a library or information service environment
