Project Title:  Historical Images of the College of Dentistry

Brief project description: 

Sort, evaluate, summarize, and assign metadata to approximately 50 scans associated with the history of the UI College of Dentistry for placement on the “Iowa Digital Library” site as a subcollection.

 

Examples of key activities:

Work with College of Medicine mentor to learn about the photograph collection and assign metadata scheme selection and application; identify end-user digital information needs; develop and organize image collections using ContentDM

 

Number of students that can be accommodated:  1

 

Duration:  Fall 2007 only

 

Training:  Will be provided.  Combination of hands-on and self-directed

 

Software/Hardware Involved:  PhotoShop; ContentDM;
