Systems Librarian

The University of Saint Francis has an opening for a full-time Systems Librarian in the Library, some evening and weekend hours required.  Position responsible for configuring and administering the ALEPH integrated library system, creating and maintaining library internet and intranet websites, administering user access to online databases, compiling and analyzing database usage statistics, maintaining all other electronic resources, overseeing library multimedia projects, and providing reference and public service support and training.  Requires working knowledge of web-based applications, network resources and information technologies associated with academic libraries including relational databases, openURL resolvers, federated search engines, OCR, digital imaging standards and practices, XML/XHTML, Interlibrary Loan systems and integrated library systems. Other required skills include experience in developing training and support documentation in multiple formats, preferably for online presentation and strong customer service, organization, and communication skills. M.L.S or M.I.S. from an ALA accredited school along with at least two years of professional level technical support or training experience is required.  Experience with web-based, integrated library systems in an academic library setting preferred.
