Web Content Specialist

As a Web Content Specialist, you will be responsible for the coordination, editing, and uploading of content for our dynamic and engaging web sites. You will play a critical role in the deployment of web sites, ensuring that the projects are completed and delivered within an accelerated timeline. This position requires meticulous attention to detail.
Major areas of responsibility:
- Review text for grammar, typographical and formatting errors.
- Edit, post and maintain content, including photos, graphics, and other elements to web sites.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, timeliness, and brand standards of all sites.
- Test sites for accuracy and functionality.
- Work with internal and external clients to troubleshoot as necessary.
- Document processes.
- Provide or coordinate new functionality training to users as necessary.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years experience in the use of various digital media and web-based technologies.
- High level of web literacy, including HTML, PhotoShop and Dreamweaver software.
- Proficiency in CSS programming, BEA Web Portal, Flash, Acrobat, and Illustrator a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, and experience working in a fast paced, multiple-deadline driven environment.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills are required.
- Must be able to work independently and work collaboratively with editors, as well as IT and Online staff members.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Instruction/Media Technology, and/or Library Science is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
