Web/Digital Services Librarian

POSITION: Salisbury University’s Blackwell Library seeks a creative, energetic, service-oriented Web/Digital Services Librarian to plan, manage, develop and support all library web applications, serve as the technical manager for the library’s web site, partner with campus and system IT to order and support library hardware and software, and support digital initiatives across library units.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: MLS, MLIS, or MIS from an accredited library program; knowledge of web design principles, ability to anticipate web trends, investigate their applications in academic libraries, and develop new web-based services; experience with a variety of scripting and programming languages; knowledge of relational databases using MS Access and/or SQL server and their use in the creation of dynamic web pages; knowledge of hardware and software issues; strong analytical and problem solving skills; good listening and oral and written communication skills; ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines; aptitude for detail-oriented work; positive attitude and commitment to team work.

APPOINTMENT, RANK AND SALARY: This is a library faculty position on a permanent status track with excellent benefits and salary commensurate with experience.
