Bucknell University seeks to hire a Metadata Librarian who will manage and coordinate activities related to metadata production for Bucknell’s growing digital collections. A Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science, and knowledge of existing and developing metadata schemas, standards, and protocols such as Dublin Core, VRA Core, LOM, MODS, METS, CCO, and OAI-PMH; traditional cataloging rules and standards including MARC and AACR2; subject thesauri such as LCSH, ULAN, AAT, TGN, and MeSH; emerging standards such as RDA are required.
