Professor Vogel is the Director of the University of Iowa Law Library and a Professor of Instruction at the College of Law. In her role as the head of the Law Library, she oversees one of the largest academic law libraries in the United States, one of the jewels of the University of Iowa, and the grant-funded People’s Law Library of Iowa, a partnership with the State Library of Iowa. A regular presenter, Professor Vogel speaks on leadership, management, the future of libraries, and access to information. Her service roles reflect this expertise. She serves on the University’s Faculty Senate and Council as well as the College of Law’s Collegiate Management Team. Her work outside the University includes, but is not limited to, serving as a Commissioner on Iowa’s Access to Justice Commission and a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Advisory Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression (FAIFE).
