The University of Iowa Graduate College has released a new YouTube playlist showcasing the faculty of the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS). The video series offers prospective students, alumni, and the broader library community an opportunity to meet the educators who shape the next generation of information professionals.
Each video in the playlist features a SLIS faculty member sharing their professional background, research interests, teaching areas, and what they find most rewarding about the school. The series provides an inside look at the expertise and perspectives of the program's instructors; from specialists in youth services and school librarianship to scholars focused on digital humanities, archival studies, and information ethics.
"These videos give our community a chance to connect with the people behind our curriculum," said Dr. Lucy Santos Green, Professor and Director of SLIS. "Our faculty bring diverse experiences and a shared commitment to preparing students for meaningful careers in libraries and information settings."
SLIS, housed within the Graduate College, offers a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science with both on-campus and fully online options. The ALA-accredited program serves students throughout Iowa and beyond, preparing graduates for positions in public, academic, school, and special libraries.
The video series is available on the University of Iowa Graduate College's YouTube channel.
