Librarians work in many settings, working with a broad range of users. SLIS offers learning tracks for students who want to focus their education and training in specific areas of librarianship. SLIS degree requirements are made up of five core courses (15 s.h.) and seven elective courses (21 s.h.). Specialization occurs primarily in your choice of electives. For students who wish to specialize, we offer a series of focused educational programs outlined below.
