Katie is a native of Denver, Colorado who has been in Iowa with The University of Iowa for 12 years. She currently serves as the Program Administrator with SLIS. When not working, she makes ceramic sculptures of poisonous flowers, spends time with her dog, and is the mother to two amazing children. Her work and education has brought her all over the globe and in her spare time, she likes to travel, read, make bread from scratch, and volunteer in her community.

Katie is the administrator for SLIS, where she takes care of student support, admissions, and faculty support, amongst other tasks. Students can contact Katie for any questions about advising and courses, filing for certificates, and graduation.  She also supports prospective students and applicants, responding to questions about requirements and process.
