Join the 100Grannies and the Iowa Women’s Archives to learn more about local efforts to help the environment. Since 2012, the 100Grannies organization has worked to “educate, advocate, and agitate for renewable energy, pure water, clean air, and a healthy environment" in Iowa. This talk, which is part of programming for the current Main Library Gallery exhibition, will highlight the history and archival records of the nonprofit and how they are supporting Iowans today. This event will also include a pop-up display of materials from the 100Grannies Records that are held in the Iowa Women’s Archives.

Before or after the event, stop by the Main Library Gallery to see more about the 100Grannies and other Iowa conservation efforts in It’s Been Wonderful Knowing You: Wildlife Conservation and Advocacy Through the Lens of Jay N. “Ding” Darling. The gallery is open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evenings and is free and open to all.
