The School of Library and Information Science at the University of Iowa will be hosting virtual Information sessions for individuals interested in a MA in LIS from the only ALA accredited and internationally credentialed LIS program in the state of Iowa. As an interdisciplinary masters, we welcome applicants from all majors

We maintain dual degree partnerships with the Law School, the Center for the Book, and the only dual degree partnership in the nation with the English PhD program. We also house an incredibly well-structured Undergraduate-to-Graduate track, enabling our undergraduates to complete 50% of the LIS master’s program during their 4th year.

Two information sessions will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025:

We will be highlighting our program opportunities, talking through how to apply, transfer credits, funding, and discussing other details about the LIS field, including the job market. We look forward to meeting you!
