Mikki Smith started working in libraries in 2002. She earned an MLS and a Certificate in Book Studies from the University of Iowa in 2007, and a PhD in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2017. She has worked in public, academic, museum, and hospital libraries.
